This year Learning at Work week coincides with Mental Health Awareness Week 13-19 May
Personal and professional development can be achieved in many interesting and diverse ways. It doesn’t have to be just about technical skills and professional qualifications. It can also be about taking a mindfulness or a yoga course.
Yoga and mindfulness are known for helping us deal with stress and anxiety. Being able to learn a new skill that can help with managing stress levels and help us cope with the everyday highs and lows of work and life is invaluable.
Learning at Work doesn't just need to be about learning a technical skill for your work or going on an excel spreadsheet or time management course. Learning new things can be the gateway to a new hobby or can help tackle confidence issues about learning something new. Learning to crochet could even be a steppingstone to confidence boosting to tackle a professional qualification.
